The Socioeconomics of Sublette
County, Wyoming

Sublette County, Wyoming  has undergone big changes in the past
few years as natural gas drilling activity has boomed on the nearby
Jonah and Pinedale Anticline Fields.

The Rig Count:
The number of drilling rigs in Sublette County is about 44, as of
January  1st, 2008 (click on graph below to enlarge).   The Pinedale
Anticline has about 28 of these rigs, while the Jonah Field has about 15
rigs drilling.  The county had about this many drilling rigs working at this
time last year, which is again an all-time winter high.
