Sublette County, Wyoming  has undergone big
changes in the past few years as natural gas
drilling activity has boomed on the nearby
Jonah
and
Pinedale Anticline Fields.  Located in rural
Southwestern Wyoming, the county has seen a
large increase in both temporary and permanent
population as a result of this activity and the
impacts to  
housing, crime, and a number of local
services have grown with the population. Please

County Partnership and  links to additional

Natural Gas Activity in Sublette County.
The Rig Count:
The number of drilling rigs in Sublette County is
about
30, as of May  29th, 2009 (click on graph
below to enlarge).   The
Pinedale Anticline has
about
22 of these rigs, while the Jonah Field has
about 8 rigs drilling.  This is the f
ewest number of rigs
operating within the county since M
ay of 2005.
